You could replace the walnuts with another nut, like almonds? XD What kind of stuff does he like to eat? Google? I'm not much of a Greek food connoisseur, sorry.
ummm yeah maybe almonds. there are various types of recipes out there for baklava since it's all over greece and the middle east. yummy yummy i know he mentioned for cupcakes/cakes, he doesn't want something "funny" like coconut in there, so i guess german chocolate is out of the picture haha.
.... hmm... or maybe do something really band geek-ish? he loves band and music. I have some marzipan to make little drums or decorations out of. but the inital dessert.... hmm. cupcakes are awesome, but i dunno... i wanna do something different, especially since someone else is already baking him red velvet cupcakes. unless I bake a full cake for him and his roommates? but i want it to be easy to carry around.... easy transport.... hrpmh

Heh heh I wouldn't underestimate the cupcake; they are very versatile little beings. Hm... it depends where you're going to give it to him. If you're thinking of giving him something that's portable, you could make creme brulee, baklava, a really gorgeous tart, cookies, macaroons, meringue cookies, muffins, a small elegant cup of parfait, or a really elegant slice of cake. If you're able to give something to him after refrigerating it, you could make tiramisu, ice cream (ice cream machines are much cheaper than before), pie, mousse/mousse cake, cream puffs, cheesecake, panna cotta, or a really nice cup of pudding. It would be awesome if you could make a really cool Greek dessert!
